We recommend you fly into Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). It's a short, ~15-minute drive from the airport to downtown Austin where we will be hosting the bulk of the wedding festivities.
Where should we stay?
We have reserved blocks of rooms at special rates for the wedding at the Thompson/Tommie Austin, and Aloft Austin Downtown. The welcome drinks will take place at the restaurant inside the Thompson/Tommie. Please refer to the Travel section for booking links and more information about the hotels.
WILL THERE BE A SHUTTLE SERVICE?
We will be providing shuttles to/from the Thompson/Tommie Austin to Canyonwood Ridge for the wedding on Saturday.
Can we bring our kids?
As much as we love your little ones, we are kindly requesting that this is an adults-only event.
What should I wear?
The wedding dress code is Black Tie Optional where tuxedos, suits with ties and floor-length dresses are preferred.
For more information, Brides.com has a great guide on what black tie optional attire is: https://www.brides.com/black-tie-optional-wedding-attire-4800698.
We have also created this handy Mood Board so you can get a sense of the vibe: https://pin.it/1Z7ZcSFDG
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invitation envelope to confirm if you have a plus one accounted for.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
We plan on hosting the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, with reception following indoors.
Whom should I call with questions?
Please call or text Rachel (585-230-7757) or Jason (415-745-0391) with any questions.
What is the difference between the Thompson and the tommie?
Both hotels are located in the same building, and it is just a matter of taking a left or a right off the elevator. Tommie guests will have access to the same outlets and amenities as Thompson. The main difference to consider is that guests retrieve in room dining orders from tommie Coffee Bar rather than having them delivered to the guestroom. tommie guestrooms average around 200 sq. ft. of livable space versus the 400 sq. ft. offered at Thompson. You can't go wrong with either!
