Rachel and Jason met at Blue Light in San Francisco during the big Michigan vs. Michigan State game. They were standing next to each other at the bar and started talking (Jason was wearing a red sweatshirt, making him VERY easy to spot). If you ask Rachel, she'll say Jason's first line was, "Do you want to do a tequila shot?". Jason thinks it went differently but either way they exchanged numbers and the rest is history :)

Rachel and Jason brought home their mini retriever Callie in September 2021 and she's been an important part of the family ever since!

After almost 5 years of dating, Jason officially proposed! He got down on one knee at Coit Tower, an iconic Bay Area landmark with gorgeous views. He hired a photographer to secretly capture the moment. Unfortunately shortly after the proposal, the photographer's camera was stolen but importantly he was able to save a few pictures including the one here!

The day after the proposal happened to be Rachel's 30th birthday! They took advantage of a pre-planned boat party on the Bay to celebrate their engagement surrounded by excited friends and family.
